My extensive career has always involved performance, voice, teaching, and language.
I began as an actress and singer, appearing on stages across Canada and in the United States. Later, teaching performance and vocal technique to private clients and graduate and undergraduate students at York University, I learned how to adapt to a wide range of abilities and personalities.
Working with professionals as a TESL-certified language instructor with a specialty in pronunciation, I learned the needs of workplace communication for professionals from a variety of countries in business, academia, government, intergovernmental bodies, music programming, and private healthcare practices.
Throughout my career, I’ve been a bilingual anglophone conducting activities in French on a daily basis. As a result, I’ve developed a special appreciation for the challenges that international speakers face interacting in a language other than their own, in person and on the phone.
I bring my love of language, understanding of voice, speech, and presentation skills, and a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of students and professionals to my work as The Canadian Pronunciation Coach.
